Aru and Kara escaped the Sleeper's house unscathed. They got lost so many times from the Sleeper trying to tap into the world's magical balance of where they were, that it took them 7 months to find Atlanta. After 5 months of searching for Aru, her friends had just presumed she was dead. Until she just appeared home.
