The Guilt

"Please Mama-" Ray choked out, looking up at the very familiar and piercing eyes he had always despised.

"...Do you really want this?" She asked, almost sounding sorry for him. Sighing, she opened her arms and her gaze softened.

Ray blinked and went silent for a moment. He fell into her arms, wrapping his own around her waist. He quietly cried and leaned further into the embrace.
