"Why should I bother liking people when I know no one likes me?" Meredith thought

When Meredith Lennox is sent to Mistletoe Manor everybody says she is the most spoiled child ever seen.It is true,too. Meredith is pale and spoiled and quite full of herself. But she is also terribly lonely. Then one day she hears about a secret library in the underground of the Manor that is said to have secrets dating from the late 18th century. And when her cousin helps her find the library,she discovers the most mystical and wonderful place anyone has ever seen.
