Alethea Robin Doe raised herself; she grew up in an orphanage and chose her own last name. At 19, she's finally started to get her life in order! She has an apartment, she has a job, she has a cat and she had a girlfriend that's more trouble than she's worth.

Her not-that-perfect-bubble is burst when three things happen: she breaks up, she almost hooks up with a demon and her dead mother's family show up in her house in the middle of the night.
