Prologue

Gale Hawthorne hasn't really been doing much since Katniss won the rebellion and chose Peeta. He's no longer bitter. What use is anything there? But they stir anyways, every day.

Gale decides to finally convince himself once and for all reasons why he's not supposed to end up with Katniss. He also becomes determined to find someone else to love. Hope remains fickle, but he places his heart in its trust, and begins the trek.
