Mackay. It's my nickname and my last name. Clean and to the point which is very much my style. Very military and why my life long dream has been to work up the ranks and someday be considered for the position of Commander. There is only one thing that might stop that from happening. No, it's not my being a woman. There have been many female Commanders throughout human history. Gender, is not my obstacle. It's the Nightmares. Explanation: Humanity has evolved past the belief in magic. We live on planets and moons and yet, I am plagued with barbaric premonitions disguised as sporadic nightmares, They remind me I have something inside me that shouldn't be possible. Something, that if noticed, will end my career, my purpose, and quite possibly my life. With my focus being solely on gaining a foothold in the military, keeping a secret a danger as this will get me tossed into a military prison and left to rot for conspiracy to commit treason. Even though I haven't a treasonous thought in my mind. So, I will keep it hidden. Even from my closest comrades.
