High school was hard enough but one night the rest of their teenage years were to disappear after going to search for a dead body in the woods, I mean why wouldn't it turn out terrible they were searching for a literal dead body.

Take this as some advice, never go looking for a dead body with your friends. Let the police handle it. It's their jobs.
