Description

For centuries, the Librarian has served the Library, the dreamlike nexus of all human imagination and knowledge, without question or protest-or, in fact, the will to do anything else beyond this purpose. He cannot leave. He cannot want. He can do nothing but wait for patrons, dreamers who have fallen asleep with heavy hearts, who come to the Library searching for the answers only its guardians can offer. And through nebulous days and weeks, the Librarian answers and remembers the things that leaden his heart and keep him rooted to the Library in this endless existence. Until, that is, a particularly persistent dreamer walks in through the door. Again and again and again. The trouble is, though her questions may be the key to the Librarian's freedom, is he willing to risk somebody else's dreams for the chance to wake up?
