Amaal is a headstrong young girl living in Islamabad and pursuing quality education. She likes wearing western clothes and is always ready to do any sort of social work. Ahad on the other hand is a stereotypical boy of a nearby village in Karachi, where his dad Abbas Khan is the head of the district. Ahad's mom died when he was an infant and was raised up by his grandma Tahira (Bibi Jaan). Being under his dad's supervision after he came back from his studies in Canada, Ahad has apparently turned out to be cruel and ill-mannered.

Ahad knows about their engagement but Aamal is kept in the dark.
