Description
There is no sadness in the Utopia. Only the blue skies, the luscious greenery, and the intelligent people of the Inner Circle exist. But seventeen-year-old Sammy Keane knows better. And it is only reinforced when the Government tries to hide him away permanently for finding something he should've never seen. Escaping into the unknown world beyond the 100-foot wall, where supposedly only death lies in wait, Sammy stumbles upon the Fields, a hideous metropolis of what was once the Old City. There are no cars, no electronic luxuries, or the Government to hide the truth of the world. In the Fields, they are free. But freedom comes at a cost. Survival is key and Sammy can't do it alone. He meets Crow, an elusive young man with a powerful reputation. Together, they overcome obstacles, enduring the harsh conditions of the Fields while simultaneously fighting the system of the Utopia. Sammy is naive, though, and he'll have to learn that sometimes the only way to survive is to live for yourself.
