The sequel to "The Importance of Being Kept" This story portrays Brandon and Kaylee's lives together, along with our previous characters. Two years after the hacker's attack on his family and friends, Brandon goes back to a darkness he once tried to get out of. A darkness that he now sees as a way to protect the woman he loves. Now he's being called The Don of the city of San Francisco, a name that brings fear to anyone that mentions it. But how long can Brandon continue down this path without it turning against him? Kaylee has always known there was a hint of danger surrounding Brandon, but she hadn't known how bad he could get until she almost died. Her near death experience changed him, made him cold, ruthless to the world, and sent him spiraling down a dark path she didn't want to be associated with. Brandon's intense love for her was turning him into a monster and she was the only one that could save him, but how when she was the heart of his darkness?
