Aang ran away and became a refugee in the fire nation. One day he collapsed on the sidewalk from exhaustion. He thought he was gonna die but then a woman in blue sneakers passed by and saw Aang and rolled him an apple to eat. Aang tried to look up to see who it was but couldn't but instead saw the girl's shoes.
