First chapter: get to know your character and other chapters you will be getting close to Harry and maybe get together..
Also yes sirius is Harry's godfather but in this he is not because it would be weird but Sirius and Remus were as close with James as they were in the movies, just thought I should clear that up. (Sirius is also not a prisoner of Azkaban)
