Catra is stuck cleaning chimneys and cinders for her evil stepmother. Although her step sisters are her best friends, Catra still longs for freedom. One night she sneaks out of the attic and meets a mysterious blonde woman in the woods.

Princess Adora never really felt like a princess. Sure she grew up in a castle with tiaras and fancy dresses but it never really felt like her. She much preferred sword fighting with the royal guards and taming wild horses. Even though Adora was raised by her father to get married and rule over Etheria she hasn't found anyone that really gets her, until she meets Catra.
