Pei Juan was the protagonist of the story she's in, yet a bug has caused her best friend Qian Na to realised that she was merely someone that was suppose to block a fatal attack for Pei Juan and die.

Feeling unresolved she decided to take Pei Juan's life and have Pei Juan step down to act as her shield. When she had succeeded capturing the prince's attention and got engaged with him, that was the fall of our protagonist- Pei Juan.
