And truthfully, no one at the Red Room Academy did-except for Natalia Romanova.

It was hard to imagine a future beyond the only home they'd ever known, where they could be killed for their mistakes or, quite possibly, be made a prisoner and soldier for the rest of their lives.But they succeeded in creating these fantasies, waiting for the chance to escape once and for all and live a happy life together. So when this chance is finally given, Natalia is sure that Semna will accept it in a heartbeat.

But as it turns out, Semna has other plans, and Natalia comes to realize that even though they grew up in the same place, they had both lived completely different versions of the same nightmare.
