Before You Begin

Maya Marlowe, 17, meets another girl that makes her want to explore the outside world after she has lived in isolation for most of her life with her father in the woods.
Maya's father has been keeping a terrible secret from her and Destani, 16, is determined to help uncover Maya's mystery.
Maya has zero social skills and neither does Destani but they find speaking to each other is incredibly easy and comfortable. In more ways than one they are helping each other.
