Joe's been in the bad-guy business for a long time, and he's seen a lot of strange things. For example, there was that one time when some guy cut off his own leg to escape through a ventilator, then when that dog jumped in front of the bullet - it happened to be a robot.

But all through this, the good guys have been - more or less - completely naive and by-the-book. But when he's hired for an all-new, mysterious customer, he finds that a few good guys are willing to break the rules - and he loses his edge. Now he's only got one chance.
