Description
There are things in this word that bind us. And like bonds they hold us captive. But sometimes we can't escape. Sometime we are bonded by blood. Me? I am bound by the blood of my father, to live a life of captivity within the walls of a palace that I will never truely own. To never know true freedom because I will always be subject to a King. I am bound to live the fate of a Queen. ◇◇◇◇◇◇ The city was asleep now and I followed. He sauntered casually forward. I stepped closer, keeping in the shadows. There was a distance of at least ten meters between us. He stopped in his tracks. I stopped quietly and stepped to the wall but he continued on without looking back. I waited a few seconds before I continued, more cautious this time. He turned a corner and I ran as silently as I could, I couldn't lose him. Once I reached the corner I slowly peaked out. He wasn't there. I cursed inwardly and hurried to the next corner to see if he was there. The ally was empty. I grunted in frustration, I had lost him. "Looking for someone?" I started and turned as fast as I could, grabbing the hilt of my sword. Before I was able to unsheath it I was pushed against the stone building and I struggled to get away. A cool blade touched my throat and I looked into the eyes of the man I had been following. They were grey but held a spark of fire in them. I stopped struggling. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right now." His voice was deep, penetrating every nerve in my body. I shuddered involuntarily. "I-" I sucked in a deep breath as pain shot into my neck. I felt a trickle of warm blood roll down my neck. He was serious and my panic started rising. What was I supposed to say? That I was following him? That I think he killed my father. My mind was racing. I can get out of this, that what I told myself.
