They are numbered. One by One. In whatever order they are born. They are not to have real names for they are considered unworthy. They are born, raised, forced to reproduce, and then their existence comes to a cruel end at the age of thirty. Everybody questions their unruly world but on one dares to challenge it, until one number has the courage to believe that everybody has a right to choices. Even if they're not the right ones...
