Kai, Jay, Cole, and Zane each hold magic stones that give them powers, but they had no clue what they possessed until the day magical evil beings started showing up out of nowhere that could only be defeated by them.

After their interaction with Lord Garmadon the boys are more ready then ever to protect their realm, but they also have a new enemy in the form of a kid with a gem calling himself the Skull Prince, but when the serpent stones are released by this Skull Prince things get even more complicated.
