pre-apocalypse melanie always felt small and alone in the big city she lived in. moving at a young age forcefully didn't make the situation any easier. being alone was normal to her up until an unknown virus spread, causing the dead to rise. the military, "had it under control", when they shot up the hospital she worked at, hoping to kill as many people as they could... what were the odds she would survive this attack? how will this unknown man she meets along the way, introduce her to her future family?
