Prologue

Mirabella has spent her whole life training, to one day become second in command to the Italian mafia - but that is the last thing in the world she wants. After her twenty-first birthday, she returns to her family home in New York city after training within Italy for three years, only to find that she is to take over much sooner than anticipated. So what does she do? She runs to the one man she grew to love in Italy; Elio. But it's not so easy getting away from the man who claimed ownership over her when they were kids, especially when he's the next leader to the Italian mafia.

Alexander will do anything to bring Mirabella back to him, even if she hates him for it.
