The stakes are higher than ever.

Forced to live with their guilt and still plagued by nightmares of what came before Rosa, Leila, Ash, Hunter and the others now have a new force to contend with: time.

Because if the prophecy Eris, Hunter, Ash and Rosa shared years before is true then the introduction of the four's kids into the deadly game of life and death has started a ticking clock that's winding down the four's time left on the board. Limiting how long they have to finish what they - and their parents before them - started so their kids can have a life removed from the nightmares, pain and guilt that haunts the four.

But Amber's desire for revenge will push not only Ash, Leila, Hunter, Rosa and the others further than they may be willing to go but she's not afraid to drag the four's kids into it. All the while ensuring that all who enter into this game may not come out alive.

Can either the four of them who started in this game or their kids stop Amber and keep safe what the four built over the years and fought time and time again to protect and preserve?
