"Blitz Battles" and "Turf Wars": two terms that have become commonplace in the world of Cardfight!! Vanguard. As the popular game continued to evolve, it was these formats that allowed it to reach new heights! Players all over the world were encouraged to gather their friends and form "Factions", cardfighting groups that could stake their claim over designated fight regions. As children, Elio Dawn and his friends made their spectacular faction debut and dreamed of becoming the strongest in the world. But just as their aspirations were finally being realized before their eyes, Elio had to move away... and their dream faded alongside him. Their faction fell to shambles, reduced to a single, feeble region. But unbeknownst to anyone, Elio is returning to town, ready to fight--!?
