"There is nothing to worry about, everything will be fine." I assured myself, nervous and afraid of what will happen if I entered the room. I looked down, not wanting anyone to know who and what I am as every sound that was coming out of the room I was about to enter had deceased, due to me turning the door's knob. "It's her, only she will dare to not knock when entering the Alpha's office" said a voice filled with hatred and disrespect. I entered and not have I only made myself a fool by tripping in the Alpha's office, but also made no contact with the cold floor as I was surrounded by two arms filled with warmth and familiarity. "Are you ok, Miss Lily?" said the only person that I have come to know as my kin and as my savior. I looked up at him and was met with only darkness as I made no move, afraid if I might trip again. "Thank you John, Beta John" I corrected myself as I moved away for his familiar arms and made my way towards the seat that have been designed just for me. " I need to have a moment with Miss Lily" said a voice, only it had no emotions and made my heart beat. I wanted to see him, to actually know who the voice that made my heart beat belong to, only that won't happen, ever. "Yes Alpha" said John, reluctantly. How I wish to know why the Alpha wanted to have a moment with me, have I done something? I haven't realised that everyone exited the room, leaving me and the Alpha. "Why?" he said, as I tried to register the emotions that was leaking out of his mouth, betrayal, anger and jealousy. Why would he feel those emotions towards me, have I done something to him? In a matter of seconds, my back made contact with the wall as dizziness started to evade my mind, the only explanation was that he had slapped me, but why? My lips quivered as I tried to stop crying as reality had hit me hard, my mate just slapped me and it's not about to end anytime soon as darkness made it's way, my only salvation in this world.
