Voldemort has been defeated by Harry Potter for good, and the Wizarding World has begun its healing. The paved streets of Diagon Alley are filled with people vanishing broken glass, fixing up robbed shops, and reinstating their businesses. Yet some cracks run far beneath the cobblestone of roads. And they are especially present in Billie Holt.

With a ruined ice cream shop to run, a dead sister to mourn, and her N.E.W.T year at Hogwarts to overwhelm her, she goes into the summer before her Seventh year with a mindset akin to the pits of hell. However, being surrounded by empathizers does the opposite of what might assume to her, and so, it is only when Harry Potter waltzes into a broken-up Florean Fortescue that someone truly sees her pain for what it is.
