Author's Note

Hazel Lopez has lived in her small Reseda apartment with her mom and Abuela for as long as she can remember. One day, a family moves into the apartment across the hall from them. Hazel learns that the new family consists of a boy her age (Miguel), his mom, and his grandmother. Miguel is kind and sweet and as Hazel and him become closer she can't help but wonder if she thinks of him as more than just a friend.
