In this world of Detroit, there is a secondary gender, Doms who control, and Subs who submit. Connor, an android designed as a sub, but considered faulty due to him never reacting to Doms and their glares, was instead sent to work as a police investigator, but when he comes across Hank, he feels a deep ache in his body that he just doesn't understand.
