Prologue

Fifteen year old Joy just went through the worst months of her life after the unexpected death of her mother. Life is so different and hard without her mom. Thankfully, she has her family and friends to lean on when the hurt becomes too much.

She knew she would face many challenges this year, attending public school for the first time being one of them. What she didn't expect was her biological father, a man she has never met, forcing her to leave the only home and family she knows and live with him and her four older brothers.
