"I don't know, everything I guess." The brunette's voice shook as her green eyes began to glisten with tears. Heat flooded her cheeks when he sat silent for a moment, not taking his gaze off her. She opened her mouth to tell him to forget she asked, but then he spoke. "Just because we didn't work out doesn't mean you weren't the best thing that ever happened to me." The girl held in a sob as the boy looked down at his hands. "Because you were." "Yeah," the girl's eyes glistened, a small tear running down her cheek as the boy she once loved looked up at her.
