But in doing so, she shuts people out making herself feel like an outcast. She expects the bare minimum from people because that way she can never be disappointed. But she hates how isolated she is always left at the end of the day and desires nothing more but to let down her guard for the right types of people. However, the struggle is finding who those right people are... So one day in a new town, at a place she had always tried to avoid, does she finally meet someone that manages to undo the darkness she surrounded herself in. She finally met her chance, the chance that helped her be free. But little does she know that he's also got something to run from. ________________________________________ "I think you're supposed to be the supervillain of my story instead of my lover," he says, stroking his chin as if he's finally figured it all out. He doesn't shift his eyes from my face. I begin to grow impatient. "Chance, what?" No reply. "Why do you keep looking at me like that?" "Because..." "Becauseee....?" I drawl out, waiting for him to continue. He suddenly reaches one hand out, gently putting it on the side of my head. He pulls my face closer to his own and I hold my breath, staring into his gorgeous green eyes. "Because, there's a small flower in your hair," he smirks, pulling it out. I move my face a few inches back.
