Your mom is sending you to a boarding school for troubled kids, due to the fact that you've been getting terrible grades, snuck out multiple times, and just over all disobeying her. Once you get there you meet you meet Five Hargreeves. What you don't know is that he's been expelled multiple times, suspended, and has been to various juvie's. In fact a lot of people hate him at this school, for those reasons and more.
