Prologue

When, at the time, 18 year old Mya Rivers moves from Los Angeles, California to New York City with just her guitar, bag full of clothes and her cellphone, she faces challenges, including ending up homeless.

Charlie the one year old stray xl pit bull sleeps in the alley every night. One day, Mya ends up sleeping in his alley and he finds comfort in her presence. Will the dog be enough to make Mya realize she can rule the world? (We're gonna pretend Sarah Blackwood never existed, same with Walk off the Earth.)
