" I know, " he whispers, taking a step towards me.

"What?" I ask angrily.

"I know." He repeats, his voice cracking. Gabriel looked as if he was on the verge of tears. He shoves my sleeve up; revealing my scarred arm. "And I'm sorry that I wasn't there to tear those assholes to shreds for even looking at you." He spits out bitterly.

I sigh. "So now you fucking know."
