Chapter One

Be transported to Provincetown in the early 1700s, where America was just beginning. Leah Everly and her father moved to Provincetown after the last of the Salem Witch Trials when her mother died. Fleeing Salem, the two live as servants. While away from home, Leah's house burns down along with her family. With her dog, and the clothes on her back, Leah is offered by the mayor's son Albert Deighton to work at Deighton Manor as a servant. As the two become close, they uncover the secrets of Leah's childhood. Their budding relationship will either bring the fate of Provincetown its bright future or its disastrous end.
