Not even the Youngest Descendant of Godric Gryffindor knew what was so special about her family's sword. The one that their useless fake had been mistaken for time after time.

But when that exact replica gets pried from her mother's hands and dropped into those of the darkest wizard times had ever seen, suddenly, Ellie finds herself entangled with the war that's coming. The war that she's repeatedly pushed out of. Left alone in the dark to process, worry... grieve.

Though perhaps not entirely alone, for she did call a well-known band of troublemakers family too.
