This is the first book of what I think will possibly be a trilogy about Joel and his daughter Sarah.

A day in the life is a book about lost love, broken dreams, the terrible amount of work being a single-parent to a child with special needs, but also about how rewarding and full of hope a life being a parent is.
This is dark and struggling, but also loving and grateful. Like life is.
