𝙰𝚞𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚛'𝚜 𝙽𝚘𝚝𝚎

In a future in which tech in general take over the planet once known as Earth, a conflict has arisen. The tech of the video game variety have taken over most of the planet now called Arcadia, and the AIs that once were part of games now had their own hierarchy. They had grown smart enough to create their own bodies in which to travel around in, and even had emotions encoded into their program over the years such as understanding and empathy. Those were necessary for their civilization to survive, as they saw it. To these AI, life was merely a game. It might as well be--every being on Arcadia couldn't really die, not even the barbaric Apparatus civilization, which took up the other half of the planet. No organic life has been seen on Arcadia for centuries, and for good reason. Humans messed up their planet, so the technology took over and made it better. But did they really?

Enter an AI named Kristopher Williams, a clunky klutz of a machine living in the Retro Quadrant of Coda, Arcadia. He was always a more nervous and glitchy piece of work, and not required to work really anywhere. Every being had a job on the planet, one that would help sustain it. Poor Kris wasn't trusted to even touch a cable, so he wandered streets. Because of this, he was very observant, and noticed things easily. Such as...a human being.

After this one encounter, Kristopher's world would spiral into madness, and he would realize more than he wanted to about Arcadia's history, the barbarians, his government, and the code that was his very soul.

This was an idea I discussed with my little brother after I watched Kung Fury and saw this arcade machine just go nuts. I wanted to make a character off that, then asked my brother what he thought of when I said "Arcadia." He gave me so many ideas that I now have a new story plotted out, with things I will explain better along the way. I love spoilers, but I won't spoil nothing in the description!
