Prologue

Tired doesn't begin to describe how I feel. Dead tired would be more descriptive, if death were possible. That's right - that's what I said - I can't die. But, what does it matter; you don't believe me, do you? No one ever does until they see it with their own eyes. You can call me Brother Shamus, but I'll answer to Brother Felix, even just plain Brother. I've been called many things since that cursed day, but don't you dare call me Conduit. It's what the demons call me, and I despise them for it, even if it's what I am to them. Wait with me if you dare; death is coming, but not for me.
