Description
Lia was a silent girl she always had been. She liked it that way no one was able to question the bruises or busted knuckles, sure they could see them but if she didn't talk to them they wouldn't ask questions and that's just what she wanted. To her she was nothing special just an ordinary 16 year old, but to many other people she wasn't. They saw her as one of the most beautiful people on their little island, a mystery that so many wanted to crack but never had the guts too because she was scary. She lived with her step mum after her dad died. Her real mum disappeared but no one questioned it as they all thought she was a lose canon. Her dad Edward was one of the most loved people on the island he was a special soul who made everyone around him smile, especially Lia. They were best friends until he was gone. Lias stepmother was never kind to her but once her dad died she became worse resorting to physical violence. Lia never had friends many people would think that's sad but to her it's not, she doesn't have to worry about drama or go do anything with them. She could just spend her days surfing and smoking blunts. That's what she was going to do till she could leave the island but the world had other plans that included a treasure hunt and a group of unlikely friends especially a dirty blond headed boy.
