Harry doesn't know that friends can be abusers. In fact, he doesn't even realize he's being abused.

Draco doesn't really care one way or another about Harry. He seems fine enough when they study for ancient runes with Hermione. It was Ron that always kicked the dust up. And when he starts to notice small tell-tale signs, he realizes he has to tread carefully around Harry. Confronting him with the abuse would only make him shrink back into it further, so constant support and kindness was the way to go.
