Description
In 2090, 60 years after making himself king of Canada and becoming a tyrant like nothing the Canadians had ever seen, King Victor is old, and his health is failing. After appointing a male heir to the throne, he now looks for someone worthy of his daughter, Princess Anne. He designs a reality show called 'Groom Wars' in which men ages 18 to 25 from all socio-economic classes can apply. But only 260 will be selected. The lucky participants will spend a year completing mentally and physically demanding challenges in hopes of marrying the princess and earning the title and lands associated with becoming the Duke of Alberta. Adriel Delamar, though born female, was raised a boy to inherit her father's possessions. She enters the competition to earn money for her family. For the promised thousand dollars a day, Adriel plots against fellow participants and does her best to win the challenges and earn some cash. She hides the details of her birth and becomes the "perfect" man to avoid living within the restrictive limits set for women. Unexpectedly, Adriel and one of the other contestants get a little too close, and people start to question if they're simply good friends, "brothers" or if they're something more. Something that, if true, will end with them being banished, disgraced and penniless, without any chance of contacting their families again.
