Because of him, we might end up dead. Before Haven could say anything, rumbling growls pierced the silent air. Roberto and I both froze. "Emma" Roberto warned, still breathing from our run, "We gotta go." His hearing was way better than mine since he was a Shifter. And because we've been partners, our trust was stronger than usual relationships. No matter how annoying he can be. I hung up on Haven and we both went off running, only to be stopped by a giant, pitch black wolf snarling at us. We both froze at our tracks. I knew who this wolf was all to well, "Ryan." I whispered, gulping down my saliva. Before I know it, Roberto and I were surrounded by angry wolves. "Aw shit." Roberto cursed, only to be interfered by Ryan's loud and dangerous growl. "'Aw shit' is right." I replied, staring deep into Ryan's dark blue orbs.
