This is a modern era au for MDZS(Mo Dao Zu Shi) The Cloud Recesses Bar is famous for its special alcohol, Emperor Smile, and of course unsurprisingly, Wei Wuxian is the regular customer who goes everyday with his brother Jiang Cheng and friend, Nie Huaisang. Again unsurprisingly, he spends most of his time there talking with Lan Zhan, the bartender who's well-known for not talking much or at all unless necessary, who listens without any complain and even replies back. His uncle Lan Qiren wanted to kick out this said regular customer for "bothering" his dear nephew, but our host Lan Xichen saved the day by saying "We can't treat our regular like that, besides, Wangji seems to enjoy his company". But then one day the regular doesn't show up, Wangji's uncle and brother doesn't seem to think much of it. Lan Wangji is so worried he shows up to where Wei Wuxian works, he remembers that form all the stories he heard form him. There he sees Jiang Cheng and is meet with a horror that scared him for his live.
