Middle of story and end of story

Ever since Emily's Heroic actions in saving Oliver, Sir Thomas was more than happy to work along side of her.
They often see each other here and there and greeted each other.
Over time, they began to gain feelings for each other.
Percy would be shunting at Knapford with Thomas while having a conservation when Emily comes looking for her coaches.
She would ask the two tank engines where her coaches were and Thomas would go looking for them.
When he finds them in a siding, he would shunt them behind her and she would thank him before blowing him a kiss and leaving.
