Prologue

Whitley Bentley is fifteen years old. After being persuaded by a friend, Whitley decides to attend a birthday party without adult supervision. A few hours later, she finds herself curled up in the arms of Dax Slade, the lead guitarist in a local band.

Six weeks later: Whitley is pregnant. Whitley is forced to face her parents and tell them of her betrayal.

Abandoned by Dax, Whitley is forced to raise a child on her own. When she confides in her best friend, Cooper Griffin, she soon discovers she is not alone.

But, there is one little problem: Cooper is also a guitarist in a band. Can she trust him to stay by her side and help raise her baby? Or will Cooper abandon her to pursue his own career?
