Diana Isabelle Burton- one who is seemingly deprived of friends, happens to find herself one. But what is she to do when a boy she finds at thirteen does not have much courage to show himself to her?

What Diana had believed of herself as the definition of lonely, passed into oblivion as she finds herself a friend who hid behind the "town's mystery"-the haunted house near the woods.

One day, young, thirteen year-old Diana, found herself inside the dark, spine-chilling place, intent on proving the town's rumors to be fictitious.

And when she did, she believed to have found herself a friend.

The next day after having proven the town people's belief to be naught but a mere lie, she found herself in the same place, infront of the same doors. And not only was that the only day she returned, but as well as the weekend after that, and the weekend that followed and all the the other weekends that have passed for ALMOST SEVEN years.

She would talk, and his response would be silence.

What is it she ought to do for him to finally show himself?

And when she found the answer, which happened to be a bit risky, she once again proved another of the town's talk years ago, one that might have already been forgotten by the people of Bellingham- false.
