She had heard this since she was a child. It took her quite a while to actually believe that mutation was something to be praised. However, she can't say that this story is only about herself. In order to tell her story, she must tell the story of so many others-her father, her friends' stories, and particularly the story of the man who saved her life when she was but a small child.
