Five years ago, Harper and Jeremy got married after being swept up in a whirlwind romance. As the years passed, the excitement wore off and now they are into the years of their marriage that take a lot of work. However they are both struggling to communicate with each other about what they both need out of the relationship. One night while Harper is with her friend, Sam, she tells her about a game on her phone that you have to solve puzzles and try to beat the person you are playing against. The next night, as Harper lays awake in bed unable to sleep, she opens the app, and is paired against a guy named Michael.
